About Anthony

I am originally from Chelmsford, Massachusetts. I have been a sports announcer for five years, and graduated with my degree in communications in 2021. I am currently volunteering with my alma mater, American International College. Beginning July 2022, I will be attending Syracuse University to pursue a masters degree at the Newhouse School.

I began my career and college education in 2017 at Lasell University in Newton, Massachusetts where I started announcing for the volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse programs. In fall 2019, I took on the challenge of driving two hours twice a week to Springfield, Massachusetts as an intern at American International College.

Eventually, the decision was made to transfer there to get more opportunities as an announcer, and continue my education while serving as the lead voice for the football, basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse programs.

While working for the AIC athletic department, I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to provide color commentary for the division one hockey program, as well as intern with Worcester State University. The school allowed me to become the first announcer in the history of the hockey program while also giving me opportunities to provide announcing for the basketball programs.

I also have experience with sports writing and have worked for two upstart sports websites in the past. Now I have my own platform on Substack.
